Product Manager
Parkade Location Not Available
Stellenbeschreibung:

    About the Role

Since 2018, Parkade has been on a mission to redefine parking. We’ve built a platform that transforms underutilized spaces into revenue-generating assets — for apartments, offices, and beyond. Now, we’re entering our next chapter: pairing intuitive software with hardware integrations to deliver seamless, delightful parking experiences.

Our CEO Evan was Lyft’s first product manager, and crafted/scaled that product from an idea into a national brand used by millions. Product at Parkade has just been him, until now. With eight engineers and a product designer, he’s ready to hand over the reins to our first dedicated product manager. You’ll be the central force driving execution, owning the day-to-day product operations, and helping shape the next evolution of our roadmap.

Best of all, you’ll join Parkade at a pivotal inflection point. We hit clear product-market fit, recently raised a Series A, have a world-class team and are scaling quickly. As we build the next generation of our product, you’ll play the key role in shaping it — redefining a product that will transform not just the parking industry, but cities themselves.

    What You’ll Do

    Execution + Team Syncing (80%)

    • Own the full product development lifecycle: write detailed specs, manage sprints, coordinate internal communications, and keep everything moving.

    • Be the connective tissue across teams, from engineering and design to sales and support.

    • Talk with users, QA features before and after they ship, maintain documentation, manage bug triage, and lead planning meetings.

    • Handle the prep work for new initiatives: talk to potential partners, research integrations, negotiate pricing and gather customer insights.

    • Ensure smooth launches and communicate product changes internally and externally.

    • Work hand-in-hand with our product designer to craft a beautiful, intuitive UX in everything you ship.

    Shape roadmap (20%)

    • Partner with our CEO to help define and refine our product roadmap.

    • Collect input from across the company to adjust priorities based on real-time feedback.

    • Build a perspective on where our product should go — and win buy-in from leadership to get there.

    • Track competitors and market shifts (including AVs and mobility trends) to keep us ahead.

    About You

    • You have at least 6 years of product management experience at startups or growth-stage companies.

    • A strong executor: You don’t need to be the "big ideas" person — we need someone who can take a vision and make it real.

    • Experience working directly with technology startup founders/CEOs, and shipping in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments.

    • Off-the-charts attention to detail (we mean it). You can easily spot out-of-place pixels or remember how six different use cases each look a bit different in a flow.

    • A deep sense of customer empathy, attention to detail, and obsession with quality. Intuition as a PM is crucial.

    • Comfortable wearing many hats. You have no problem going outside your core role, and doing whatever needs to be done.

    • Familiarity with mobile and web platforms; you’ve worked on mobile, mobile web, and just web. You don’t need to code, but you feel comfortable discussing technical details and questions with engineers.

    • Comfort with project management tools (ideally Jira), wiki software (ideally Confluence) and Figma.

    • We’re not a meeting-heavy culture, but you should be very good at crafting, designing and delivering presentations.

    Bonus points

    • You can create low fidelity mocks/wireframes in Figma.

    • You have a strong interest in urban design, transportation, cities. You want to change how people get places, and how real estate is built/operated.

    • You’ve worked in complex operational businesses that processed payments, and/or have experience with combined hardware and software products.

    • You have experience with processing payments and/or marketplaces.

    Location

Based in the SF Bay Area ideally — where our designer, CTO and web engineer sit — or Long Beach, CA area (less preferred). You’re excited to come into the office 2-3 days per week. Remote candidates, especially those in/near California, may apply, but face long odds.

    Compensation

    $170,000–$210,000 base + equity (targeting ~.05%)

    Benefits

    • Competitive compensation and an equity stake in Parkade, to reflect the company owner mindset you have

    • Medical, dental and vision insurance to ensure all your bases are covered for you and your family

    • 401k, dependent care FSAs, pre-tax commuter/parking benefits, and more

    • Flexible PTO to take the time you need to rest, recharge, or take care of life -- no set limits, just responsible time off when it works for you and your team.

    • Great culture embodied in our small, high-caliber team of mission-driven doers

    First 90 Days

    • Take over sprint planning and project management from the CEO.

    • You’ve gained a deep understanding of our product, and can answer 95% of questions about it accurately.

    • You've met with every single person at the company one-on-one.

    • You're writing clear specs, coordinating launches, and ensuring engineers and designers are unblocked.

    • Sprint planning meetings are well run, and every task and ticket that’s brought to sprint planning comes with a full, detailed spec that’s been run by all relevant parties (including engineering) ahead of time.

    • QA new features, manage bug triage, and take ownership of internal comms.

    • Start talking with users, reviewing customer feedback, and researching adjacent markets.

    • Explore and evaluate potential vendors we could use for product enhancements.

    • You’re starting to take the lead at our roadmap review, while deferring to Evan when needed. You’re understanding how to work with him, how he thinks/communicates and what mistakes to avoid.

    • You’re deep into charting our path on our gate/camera offering, have crafted a light spec and started to meet with vendors.
