The Opportunity
We are seeking a Production Engineer with strong mechatronics expertise to support the design, optimisation, and continuity of complex production systems. This is a hands-on role combining technical problem-solving, system improvement, and collaboration with internal and external partners. You will also play a key role in commissioning new production lines, leading FATs/SATs, and helping to embed in-house knowledge as a core competency.
Key Responsibilities
Drive design and continuous improvement of production systems, with emphasis on mechatronic components.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical deviations in production-critical equipment to ensure smooth operations.
Assess and implement equipment modifications or upgrades to improve reliability and performance.
Support commissioning, FAT, SAT, and validation of new manufacturing lines.
Collaborate with CMOs to ensure correct equipment setup and production readiness.
Work closely with process engineering, operations, and quality teams on complex technical challenges.
Oversee integration of hardware/software updates into production environments.
Maintain accurate documentation of design changes, improvements, and commissioning activities.
What We’re Looking For
Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, or Design Engineering (Master’s preferred).
3–4 years’ experience in production/manufacturing engineering, ideally in medtech or similar regulated environment.
Strong mechatronics background with hands-on expertise in system optimisation.
Experience with FAT/SAT execution and troubleshooting production-critical systems.
Knowledge of GMP and/or ISO13485 standards (preferred).
Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, international scale-up environment.
Bonus Skills:
Software/coding capabilities.
Six Sigma or lean manufacturing experience.
