What the job involves?

My client, a leading global provider of in-vehicle infotainment, telematics, and electrification solutions, is looking for an experienced Project Manager (m/f/d) Head-Unit/Telematics in Munich, Germany. This role is ideal for a professional with strong automotive project management experience, particularly with German OEMs, and expertise in hardware, software, and system engineering.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Leading and managing automotive projects in Europe, from development to mass production and service phase.

• Tracking project milestones and KPIs, including vehicle milestones, change requests, and sample deliveries.

• Coordinating technical discussions with suppliers, customers, and internal HQ teams.

• Working closely with engineering teams to define hardware and software requirements.

• Providing regular management reports on project status.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

• 5+ years of professional experience in project management.

• Several years of automotive experience working with German OEMs.

• Knowledge of Linux, infotainment hardware circuit design, mechanical optimization, and thermal design/analysis.

• Understanding of hardware design, software architecture, and system validation.

• Fluent in English and German (mandatory).
