    Project Manager (m/f/d)

    At VON DER HEYDEN Human Capital, we’re on a mission to redefine executive search across Europe’s VC, PE, and tech ecosystem. As our new Project Manager, you’ll be at the heart of that mission — owning search mandates end to end, building strong relationships with top-tier clients, and leading project teams to success.

    This isn’t headhunting as usual. It’s fast-paced, strategic work where your sharp thinking, structured mindset, and people skills truly move the needle.


    What you’ll do:
    • Own complex executive search projects from A to Z
      You’ll take full responsibility for the success of multiple mandates — from briefing through to final placement. You’ll create structure, set priorities, manage timelines, and keep everything moving with focus and clarity.

    • Lead and empower your project teams
      Working closely with Analysts and the wider VDH team, you’ll delegate smartly, guide with confidence, and ensure quality at every step. You’ll also play a key role in their development within the project context.

    • Be the go-to contact for our clients
      You’ll lead communication with clients independently — presenting insights, aligning on strategy, and managing expectations throughout. You’ll build trust by being insightful, consistent, and delivery-focused.

    • Shape search strategy and hiring narratives
      You’ll craft tailored search strategies, help define roles, and provide input rooted in business context and market realities. You’ll act as a strategic sparring partner — not just an executor.

    • Ensure excellence in everything we deliver
      Whether it’s candidate reports, search documents, or industry mappings — you’re accountable for quality. You ensure our work is clear, well-structured, and always senior-level ready.

    • Improve how we work as we scale
      You’ll spot inefficiencies, drive improvements across our tools and processes, and help make our delivery engine smarter and more scalable.

    • Collaborate with our leadership team
      You’ll work closely with our CEO and Directors — sharing insights, ensuring alignment, and integrating broader company initiatives into your projects when needed.

    What we are looking for:

    You are an energetic, analytical, and people-savvy professional with an entrepreneurial mindset. You enjoy taking ownership and solving complex puzzles and working at the intersection of strategy and execution.

    • 2–4 years of experience in Management Consulting, Executive Search, Investment Banking, Start-up/Scale-up, VC/PE, or a similar fast-paced environment
    • First experience managing projects and/or leading small teams, ideally in a client-facing context
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders
    • A structured way of thinking and the ability to manage multiple mandates without losing focus
    • Highest standards for quality and execution, paired with a hands-on, pragmatic mindset
    • A strong academic background — a Bachelor’s and ideally a Master’s degree in business, economics, or natural sciences
    • Fluency in German and English (professional or native-level); other languages are a plus
    • Proficiency in MS Office and/or Google Workspace
