Senior Python Developer, Network & Cloud Automation | 6-Month Rolling Contract

📍 Frankfurt or Berlin (2–3 days/month on-site)
🗓️ Start: October or November (flexible)
💬 Language: English (C1+), no German required
📄 Initial Term: 3 months → extendable to 6 → rolling contract possible

We’re looking for a Freelance (Senior) Python Developer with strong networking expertise to join a high-impact project building a private cloud platform from the ground up. This platform will help manage and control a mission-critical, large-scale environment where availability, automation and performance are essential.

Note: Candidates with experience limited to small or mid-sized companies (KMUs) will not be considered: we’re looking for professionals who have operated at broad-scale, enterprise or telco scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation software for virtualized network environments
• Collaborate closely with network engineers and solution architects
• Contribute to the development and scaling of a private cloud platform
• Assist customers in deploying software on the new infrastructure

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development and/or network engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Basic familiarity with Network vendors such as Cisco and Unix-based systems
• Understanding of network binding (“bend” mechanisms) and related architectural models
• Hands-on experience with highly critical infrastructures
