We are looking for an experienced Python developer to build and deploy a production-ready REST API using Flask and AWS. The API will serve as the backend for a scalable application and must follow best practices for performance, security, and maintainability. Responsibilities: Design and implement RESTful API endpoints in Flask Integrate with external APIs and databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL preferred) Implement authentication & authorization (JWT/OAuth2) Ensure robust error handling, logging, and monitoring Deploy and manage the application on AWS (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS) Write unit tests and integration tests to achieve high coverage Provide documentation for API endpoints and deployment steps Requirements: Strong proficiency in Python 3.x and Flask framework Experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS) Solid understanding of REST API design principles Experience with database schema design and ORM (SQLAlchemy preferred) Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines is a plus Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and security best practices Strong debugging and performance optimization skills Deliverables: Fully functional Flask-based REST API AWS deployment (with proper configuration for scalability) Unit & integration tests with coverage report API documentation (Swagger/Postman collection) Project Type: One-time project with potential for ongoing maintenance and feature expansion
