About The Job

As a Quality Engineer , you will play a key role in ensuring supplier performance, product quality, and compliance with international standards. Your responsibilities include qualifying and developing suppliers, conducting internal and external audits, and managing the integrated management system across ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001, and ISO/TS 22163 frameworks. You will oversee supplier evaluations, initial sample approvals, and corrective actions while maintaining strong collaboration between purchasing, development, and quality departments. In this dynamic role you’ll apply your technical expertise in mechanical or metalworking processes such as casting, forging, welding, and coating to drive continuous improvement across the supply chain. You’ll monitor quality targets through metrics and dashboards, contribute to product development activities like FMEA and EMPB, and ensure all processes meet compliance and performance expectations. A proactive mindset, strong analytical ability, and willingness to travel extensively are essential.

Your Responsibilities

  • Qualification and development of suppliers
  • Supplier and process auditing
  • Implementation and scheduling of internal and external audits
  • Management of the integrated management system, including document control for ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001, and ISO/TS 22163
  • Maintaining and developing the system’s standard conformity
  • Initial sampling at suppliers and approval or rejection
  • Follow‑up of complaints and corrective actions arising from audits or deviations
  • Preparation of audit, visit, and key‑figure reports
  • Evaluation of suppliers in partnership with the purchasing department
  • Interface between purchasing, quality, and suppliers
  • Efficient use of quality techniques
  • Support in controlling quality targets and performance metrics, including a quality dashboard
  • Participation in the product development process (e.g., FMEA, PLP, QPA, EMPB) in direct coordination with purchasing and development

Education and Experience

  • Technical university degree or completed vocational training, with several years of professional experience and qualifications in quality management
  • Experience dealing with suppliers and customers
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering and/or metalworking
  • Experience with special processes such as casting, forging, welding, and coating
  • Ability to read drawings and a strong technical understanding of products and processes
  • Fundamental knowledge of business administration
  • In‑depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
  • Knowledge of IAFT 16949 or ISO/TS 22163 is an advantage
  • Experience planning, conducting, and evaluating audits and initial samples
  • Willingness to travel extensively
