Quant Developer / Financial Engineer (m/f/d) - Valuations

Join IDS GmbH – Analysis and Reporting Services as a Quant Developer / Financial Engineer (m/f/d) focused on valuations. We are looking for a developer with a quantitative background to analyze financial data and optimize valuation processes while designing and developing investment management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement mathematical models for valuation of financial instruments (mainly fixed income and derivatives)
• Migrate, maintain and extend our portfolio management/planning tool to meet regulatory and customer requirements
• Perform quality assurance for risk capital calculations and economic scenario generations
• Automate/speed up data‑driven processes and improve their resilience
• Troubleshoot and provide third‑level operational support

Key Requirements

• Master’s degree preferably in mathematics, IT, finance or a comparable field (PhD is a plus)
• Strong IT and coding skills, especially in C# (Python, Bash, and SQL are a plus)
• Knowledge of financial mathematics, investment instruments, and valuation methods
• Several years of experience in programming and finance is an advantage
• Experience with tools like GitHub/Git, Jira, Visual Studio (Professional/VS Code/nvim)
• Experience with Docker/Podman, Kubernetes, Jenkins and Azure is beneficial
• Strong team player ready to take over responsibility
• Getting‑things‑done mentality and pioneering spirit
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Fluent in German and English
