Quantum Computing Engineer (Algorithmic Optimization)

Join our client, who are working at the forefront of quantum computing and help build algorithms that tackle some of the toughest real-world challenges. From logistics to large-scale industrial problems, you’ll design and test quantum algorithms that go beyond the limits of classical approaches.

As part of our team, you won’t just write code — you’ll take ownership of projects end to end: shaping solutions, aligning with partners, and making sure milestones turn into real results. What You’ll Do:

• Build, implement, and test next-generation quantum algorithms
• Work closely with teammates and external partners to keep projects moving and deliver on milestones
• Bring new ideas to the table and push the boundaries of what’s possible with neutral-atom quantum computing
• Stay plugged into the latest breakthroughs in quantum computing and apply them to real-world use cases

What We’re Looking for:

• PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field, or MSc with strong quantum focus
• Solid background in quantum physics and quantum computing theory
• Hands-on experience with Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane
• Self-driven, collaborative, and excited to work in a fast-moving team
• Valid EU or German work permit (Munich-based or open to relocation)
• Fluent in English (German is a plus)

Bonus Points for:

• Experience in agile (Scrum) environments
• Knowledge of tensor networks
• Familiarity with combinatorial optimization problems
