Regional Commissioning Engineer – Vertiv

We are looking for a Regional Commissioning Engineer to supervise thermal project commissioning, conduct special on‑site tests, troubleshoot systems, and provide high‑level technical support across Germany and the DACH region. This field service position offers a high degree of independence.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in planning meetings to gain a holistic overview of needs and support the planning team in optimizing productivity.
Conduct special system tests (SAT, IST, customer acceptance tests), compile technical reports and procedures related to test activities.
Collaborate with the local Service Delivery Organization for on‑site visits in case of serious problems or commercial significance.
Capture field results, transmit inputs for product and quality improvement to the factory using the official Techsupport tool "Tracker".
Contribute to preliminary and final root‑cause analysis reports for critical events, and independently manage the RCAR process for local or minor events.
Support field service in applying correct technical service procedures and tools.
Use field‑collected information to prepare and distribute technical service information.
Manage all activities in compliance with ITC regulations and environmental requirements.
Participate in construction site meetings and assist in selecting suitable Vertiv storage locations.
Maintain regular status reports on equipment and support FAT processes and local technician introductions.
Familiarize with Vertiv products, promote the company image on‑site, identify sales opportunities, and respond professionally to support requests.
Support new product review processes and be a main user of the new thermal architecture.

Qualifications

Higher education in thermal systems or a related discipline.
University degree or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the thermal industry (or similar) and at least 2 years of field‑service experience.
Clean driving license.
Strong communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
Ability to work independently, self‑motivated, results‑oriented.
