Reliability Engineer (all genders)

Responsibilities

• Implement data‑driven short‑ and long‑term strategies to improve reliability and availability of technical systems.
• Support local functions in systematic analysis of equipment failures (breakdowns, defects), including problem‑solving and breakdown elimination.
• Develop technical solutions or conduct data‑based root cause analyses to prevent recurring equipment failures, balancing capacity, quality, and cost.
• Collaborate continuously with local functions on cross‑functional PSS topics.
• Optimize maintenance processes for production and infrastructure with a focus on safety, environmental protection, cost efficiency, quality, and regulatory aspects.
• Develop and implement maintenance excellence concepts (work planning, prioritization, optimization), including efficient use of the CMMS (SAP).
• Participate in the CORE Readiness project team, review local processes (As‑Built), cleanse data, harmonize maintenance processes, and conduct User Acceptance Tests.
• Share knowledge globally and support knowledge transfer with other locations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Control Technology, or a comparable field.
• Several years of professional experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
• In‑depth knowledge of Maintenance and Reliability.
• Strong understanding of GMP.
• Strategic, goal‑oriented mindset and strong sense of responsibility.
• Team‑player with openness and collaboration skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong IT affinity and software knowledge (e.g., SAP P2R/S4, Power BI); experience with SAP S4 Hana preferred.
• Proficiency in German and English, written and spoken.
