A key initiative is to build a compelling Cyber Risk Consulting proposition, enhancing our existing expertise to support clients in cyber risk management.

With investment from AXA Group, we have the opportunity to hire an experienced Cyber Risk Consultant to work closely with the Global Head of Cyber Consulting in developing AXA XL’s global Cyber underwriting and consulting services. This strategy includes leading the development of a consistent Cyber Security Risk Management Services Methodology, promoting a positive cyber security risk culture, and providing expertise in identifying and assessing Cyber Security Risks.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

As a Cyber Risk Consultant, you will support the development of our Cyber Risk Consulting proposition and assist in enhancing our brand and capabilities. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Advising underwriters on industry-specific risks and supporting clients in implementing their cyber risk reduction strategies.
• Building a set of cyber services to help clients understand, manage, and mitigate their risks.
• Designing and implementing customized risk management frameworks tailored to client needs.
• Defining risk management processes and guidelines, contributing to the overall framework.
• Collaborating with senior team members to develop risk analysis methodologies, focusing on identifying, assessing, and prioritizing risks.
• Adapting risk analysis approaches to meet specific client needs based on industry and size.
• Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing client needs and circumstances.
• Engaging with underwriters, brokers, and clients to discuss risk consulting solutions to improve risk profiles.
• Visiting and interacting with clients to evaluate location and industry-specific risks, reporting findings to the team.
• Ensuring compliance with technical rules and guidelines while learning best practices.
• Sharing knowledge and insights with colleagues interested in cyber risk mitigation.
• Supporting the local claims team by providing industry insights.
• Collaborating with AXA’s Cyber Centre of Excellence to share industry trends and emerging issues.

You will report to the Head of Cyber Risk Consulting.

We’re looking for someone with these skills and abilities:

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Familiarity with cyber insurance concepts.
• Ability to work collaboratively and support stakeholders.
• Understanding of regulations, policies, and procedures in cyber-security.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Curiosity and motivation to learn about cyber risk management.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Experience or coursework related to risk management or Cyber Security.
• Knowledge of frameworks like NIST, ISO, or Cyber Essentials+.
• Experience or internships in IT or relevant sectors.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (around 20%).
• Attention to detail and ability to create clear, engaging presentations.
• Fluency in English and German; additional languages are a plus.
