Senior IT Consultant – SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP)

Location : Munich or Remote (Hybrid), Germany

This is a senior consulting opportunity at a fast-growing, international digital supply chain consultancy. The firm has a strong presence across Austria, Slovakia, Switzerland, and Germany, and is known for delivering SAP-based solutions to leading industrial clients. Context for the Hire

With sustained demand for supply chain transformation and S&OP digitisation, this role will strengthen the firm’s SAP IBP delivery capability. It’s suited to professionals who bring deep solution knowledge and want to shape client roadmaps while supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse client S&OP processes and advise on innovative SAP IBP solutions.
• Lead and deliver SAP IBP implementation projects tailored to industrial environments.
• Conduct training for end users and offer post-go-live support.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on solution delivery.
• Provide input into business development and support new project acquisition.
• Regularly report on project progress and client satisfaction.

Team Structure and Reporting Lines

The role reports into a senior SAP leader within the business and involves collaboration across regional teams. You will interface directly with client stakeholders and internal consultants to ensure effective delivery and value creation.

Required Experience and Attributes

• A technical or IT-related degree.
• Minimum 5 years of SAP project experience, ideally covering IBP, S / 4HANA, or legacy APO.
• Exposure to interface technologies (CPI-DS, ETL) and basic ABAP is beneficial.
• Fluent German (C1) and strong English (B2 or above).
• Strong consulting presence, client advisory skills, and solution ownership mindset.

What Success Looks Like in the First 6–12 Months

• Take ownership of key SAP IBP projects and establish credibility with clients.
• Act as lead consultant for planning process digitisation across S&OP use cases.
• Contribute to knowledge building and internal training.
• Support at least one successful bid for new client work.
