Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP FICO Consultant with a strong specialization in Treasury and Financial Management to support our client in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will bring 12–15 years of SAP consulting expertise and proven project experience in complex, multinational environments.

This is a long-term freelance / contract assignment (initial 6 months with strong likelihood of extension) based in the Düsseldorf or Cologne region. While much of the work can be carried out remotely, on-site presence will be required when necessary, so candidates should be located in Germany or able to travel at short notice.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver SAP Treasury & FICO solutions within a large-scale manufacturing environment.
• Conduct detailed requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, and testing across FICO and Treasury processes.
• Advise on best practices for Treasury functions including Cash Management, Liquidity Planning, In-House Cash, Bank Communication, and Risk Management.
• Ensure smooth integration between FICO and other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, CO).
• Provide hands-on support during project implementation, system enhancements, and upgrades.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into system solutions.
• Act as a trusted advisor for Finance and Treasury leadership teams.
• Support knowledge transfer and training of internal teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 12–15 years’ experience as an SAP FICO Consultant with strong Treasury focus.
• Proven track record in end-to-end implementations and support projects within manufacturing industries.
• Deep functional expertise in:
• Treasury & Risk Management (TRM)
• Cash & Liquidity Management
• In-House Cash
• Bank Communication Management (BCM)
• Financial Instruments and Risk Analysis
• Strong integration knowledge across SAP modules and 3rd party treasury / banking systems.
• Experience in S/4HANA Treasury highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Must be fluent in German and English.
• Prior experience working in manufacturing companies is required.
