A global biopharma company is seeking a strategic and delivery-focused professional to lead its Innovation Unit’s digital portfolio—advancing data-driven initiatives that shape the future of therapeutic discovery.

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of science, technology, and strategy. You’ll work cross-functionally to manage a diverse portfolio of IT and digital projects, enabling smarter decision-making and accelerating clinical success.

What you'll be doing:

Lead the strategic oversight and governance of a dynamic portfolio of digital and IT initiatives within the Innovation Unit
Align scientific use cases with business value, ensuring strategic fit and measurable impact
Facilitate portfolio reviews, business case development, and strategic planning across domains
Coordinate budgeting, resource access, and capability deployment to support initiative success
Communicate progress and insights across internal platforms and stakeholder groups
Develop and refine KPIs to assess portfolio health and impact
Identify strategic gaps and opportunities, driving long-term planning and innovation

What you'll bring to the role:

PhD in Computer Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related discipline
Proven experience in pharmaceutical R&D and cross-functional collaboration
Background in strategic consulting and digital transformation
Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
Fluent English; intercultural experience highly valued
Extensive experience in matrix leadership and strategic consulting
Deep business acumen in pharma R&D environments
