The Security Engineering team focuses on strengthening security-critical components in eHealth, automotive, IoT, mobile, and government applications.
As a Security Engineer (m/f/d) , you will play a key role in enhancing the cybersecurity of our clients’ products and projects. Your work may involve hardening electronic ID documents, mobile devices, and trusted key storage or control units.
Responsibilities
- Analysing and developing security requirements for various product types and embedded systems – including Secure Elements and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) – in the fields of embedded, mobile, and cloud security.
- Designing security architectures in close cooperation with product architects, ensuring that protective measures align with both functionality and performance requirements.
- Advising on security certifications (e. g. Common Criteria or equivalent standards) and supporting the planning and execution of evaluations.
- Integrating cybersecurity aspects into development processes : supporting our clients in establishing secure development, testing, and deployment lifecycles in line with standards such as ISO 15408, ISO 27001, ISO 21434, or IEC 62443.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, mathematics or equivalent qualification
- Professional experience in the field of "Security Engineering"
- Preference for conceptual work to solve complex problems at a strategic level
- Analytical mindset, thorough working method and ability to work in a team
- Experience in security evaluation and certification of IT products (according to Common Criteria, FIPS or other security certification standards)
- Experience in information security management and IT network security
- Fluency in written and spoken German and English
- Willingness to travel occasionally
The following are considered beneficial
- Experience in security analysis and hardening of high-security embedded systems
- General knowledge of cryptographic primitives and protocols
- Practical experience in software development
- Basic knowledge of network communication and its protocols (e. g. TLS)
- Experience in working with DevOps tools (e.g. Git, Gitlab, Jenkins)
- Experience in dealing with bug tracking systems (e.g. Jira, YouTrack)
