Senior Account Manager , AWS Germany

Overview

As an Enterprise Account Manager, you will help drive growth and shape the future of AWS by increasing adoption and market segment presence within large German enterprises in the Financial Services market. You will blend sales/ account management expertise with technical knowledge to engage executives, developers, and IT architects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business growth and expansion in a defined territory in the Financial Services industries for Insurance or Banking clients.
  • Develop and execute a business plan and meet or exceed quarterly targets.
  • Win and manage a set of key accounts concurrently and strategically.
  • Articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services and related regulatory requirements.
  • Accelerate customer adoption and work with partners to extend reach.
  • Influence market trends such as digitalization, IoT, DevOps, data analytics and cloud transformation up to C‑Level.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications

  • Significant experience in business acumen combined with technology‑related account management/field sales roles; proven track record in sales/consulting or similar positions.
  • Direct field experience working with complex Enterprise accounts that must comply with regulatory requirements.
  • In‑depth understanding of customer use cases and industry trends in Financial Services.
  • Demonstrated hunting ability to work independently and autonomously in driving projects to completion in an ambiguous environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in German and English for business conversations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multi‑year industry expertise in Insurance or Banking with knowledge of regulatory frameworks.
  • Extensive customer network in the financial services industry.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Certified cloud experience (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner).
