On behalf of a well-established financial services company operating within the EMEA region, we are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to join their team. This is a full-time remote opportunity open to candidates based anywhere in the EMEA region.




About the Role

As a Remote Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing daily accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver accurate and timely financial information, supporting informed business decisions in a fast-paced financial services environment.




Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, records, and reports.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws, accounting standards, and internal policies.
• Liaise with internal departments and external auditors to support audits and reporting requirements.
• Monitor financial transactions, perform variance analysis, and highlight key insights.
• Uphold strict confidentiality of financial information and maintain strong internal controls.



Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, ideally within the financial services sector.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, or similar platforms.
• Solid understanding of financial regulations, tax compliance, and reporting standards.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical ability.
• Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines in a remote setting.
• Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic or other EMEA languages is an advantage.
