Senior Accountant

Permanent, paying up to €75k + 10% Bonus

I am currently recruiting for a large, global data centre company based near Frankfurt who are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team and support the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting activities for various corporate development entities located in Europe.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be:

Reviewing the allocation of company expenses and overhead costs
Performing account variance analysis and reconciliations
Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements including the associated work packages
Reviewing invoices for coding and preparing for payment
Reconciling and reviewing all cross-company transactions and preparing invoices as required
Preparing monthly drawdown packages for submission to lenders - assisting in due diligence on equity investment deals
Compilation of financial data and other audit requirements
Preparation of monthly tenant and customer invoices
Traveling to locations, customer meetings, training courses or conferences as desired and required
Supporting VAT return preparation in conjunction with indirect tax team

The ideal candidate will have:

Substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and billing
At least five to ten years’ experience in organisations where significant growth was achieved
Functional knowledge of corporate operations and extraordinary financial and cash management skills
Ability to train and motivate other colleagues
Strong US GAAP and IFRS knowledge preferred
Consolidation preparation including FX accounting experience preferred
Cash flow preparation experience preferred
They will be organised and approach each issue with an analytical mindset
Must be fluent in English and German
