About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable / Subledger Accountant to strengthen our Accounting & Tax team. In this role, you will take ownership of vendor accounting, payment processes, and account reconciliations. You will ensure compliance and accuracy in daily bookkeeping and support the continuous optimization of our finance operations.

Your Responsibilities

• Independently handle accounts payable (AP) operations, including invoice verification, posting, and reconciliation.
• Manage vendor accounts, clarifications, and open items.
• Prepare and process electronic payments and bank postings.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Assist with VAT returns and compliance checks.
• Act as a contact person for internal departments and external vendors.
• Contribute to finance projects and drive digitalization and automation initiatives.
• Prepare analyses and reports relevant to accounts payable.

Who You Are

• Completed commercial training or comparable qualification; training as tax clerk or accountant is an advantage.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounts payable or subledger accounting .
• Solid understanding of invoice processing, payment runs, and account reconciliations.
• Strong numerical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Proactive and reliable working style with a high sense of responsibility.
• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and experienced with SAP S4 Hana .
• Fluent in German (written and spoken), with strong English skills.
