About CAPZA Private Debt
CAPZA is a leading private debt investor with over 20 years of experience, actively investing across five core regions: France, Germany, Benelux, Spain, and Italy. With more than €5 billion in commitments and over 340 investments since 2004, CAPZA has built an exceptional long-term track record and is currently raising its seventh private debt fund. Through our regional offices, we maintain strong local relationships and networks to identify the most attractive investments opportunities, ranging from Unitranches and junior debt to equity-linked instruments. To further expand our successful private debt portfolio, CAPZA is seeking a Senior Associate or Junior Principal in Munich for its Private Debt strategy to support the analysis and execution of investments across the DACH region.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the origination, analysis, and execution of potential private debt investments in small- and mid-cap companies across the DACH region.
- Screening investment opportunities by conducting detailed financial and commercial analysis for credit assessments which form the basis for decisions on new investments.
- Preparing and reviewing complex financial cash flow models to determine adequate debt capacities, structures, and commercial terms.
- Preparation of investment memoranda on new opportunities for the Investment Committee.
- Supporting the negotiation of legal documentation in coordination with senior team members as well as internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborating with management teams and financial sponsors on new investment opportunities and existing portfolio companies, and contributing to ongoing monitoring and reporting.
- Creating high-quality presentations and pitch materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Building and maintaining relationships with financial sponsors, advisors, and other market participants.
- Contributing to internal projects and related tasks to drive growth, efficiencies, and collaboration.
Candidate Profile
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in private debt, leveraged finance, or debt advisory, with a track record of executed transactions.
- Strong understanding of credit analysis, structuring, and risk assessment.
- Excellent analytical, financial, and writing skills, with a rigorous and detail-oriented approach.
- Familiarity with legal documentation in private debt transactions.
- Efficient internal and external process management skills, based on a highly organised and structured way of working.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect easily with others and distil complex information into clear, concise messages.
- Ambitious, humble, and team-oriented mindset with a hands-on attitude and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Existing peer-level contacts in the DACH region with financial sponsors, advisors, lawyers, or other key stakeholders are a plus.
- Native German speaker and fluent in English (both written and spoken).
- Strong academic background in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
