We are seeking a freelance Senior Backend Developer to join a groundbreaking digital transformation project for one of our clients in the pharmaceutical industry. You will play a crucial role in developing an innovative solution that will revolutionize chemical process engineering in drug discovery. This is a unique opportunity for an independent and self-sufficient professional to apply specialized expertise in an agile, fast-paced environment.



Projektbeschreibung

As a key consultant on the ASAP (Augmented Synthesis and Analytical data-based Process) project, your primary responsibility is to autonomously develop and deliver high-quality backend services. Your tasks will be managed within a flexible, three-week agile sprint cycle, where you have the freedom to define your own approach to achieving project goals.



Your Core Tasks Include
• Feature Development: Building specified features and backend services for a web application using Python, Java, SQL, Postgres, and GraphQL.
• Technical Consultancy: Conducting independent feasibility studies and creating detailed technical concept documents for new features or architectural changes.
• Automated Testing: Creating comprehensive unit and end-to-end tests to ensure the functionality and quality of all software components.
• CI/CD Pipeline Development: Configuring and building automated deployment pipelines using Jenkins for an OpenShift/Kubernetes environment.
• Documentation: Producing high-quality technical documentation that details the architecture, data models, and API endpoints of all developed components.

Skills
• Backend Development: Over 3 years of experience with Python and Java.
• Database Expertise: Over 3 years of experience with SQL and Postgres.

• CI/CD: At least 2 years of experience with Jenkins and familiarity with OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Agile Methodology: Proven experience working in an agile environment.
• Communication: Strong written communication skills with the ability to create clear, professional technical documents.
