Senior Communications Manager - Reputation AHBU

The Position

Join our Global Animal Health Communications team! As part of Global Corporate Affairs, we serve as courageous and trusted advisors to the Animal Health Business Unit (AHBU). We craft data-driven, strategic, and integrated communications to spark dialogue, strengthen our reputation, and drive business results. Together with the AHBU we shape our communications to create a healthier tomorrow for both animals and people.

Responsibilities

• Senior Communications Manager with a focus on reputational topics, leading strategic initiatives that shape, strengthen, and safeguard the AHBU reputation across key audiences as part of the multi-year AHBU Reputation Plan.
• Developing and executing strategic communication plans and campaigns that elevate thought leadership.
• Identifying and leveraging high-impact communication opportunities.
• Driving executive visibility efforts and leading editorial planning for the AHBU.
• Managing issues and crisis communication to protect and preserve reputation.
• Enhancing social media strategy and refining success measurement activities.
• Serving as a liaison for key stakeholders within the AHBU, supporting communication around business-critical topics (including change management); acting as a point of contact for initiatives led by Corporate Communications and Public and Governmental Affairs, such as the Annual Press Conference, Annual Report, and communications related to Sustainable Development for Generations.
• Collaborating closely with communications colleagues across countries and regions to ensure alignment and maximize impact for the AHBU.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications or related field, with a broad background and several years of relevant experience in corporate/product communications activities in a matrixed organization.
• Proven track record in strategic communications with experience in reputation management including crisis and issues management.
• Understanding of how to move internal and external audiences through effective communications and how to run global campaigns with impact.
• Excellent editorial and writing skills with the ability to think beyond the scope of this role and to anticipate its impact on others.
• Collaborator with an inclusive working style, natural curiosity, and the ability to translate a strategic vision into concrete actions and plans.
• Ability to anticipate business challenges, trends, stakeholders’ needs, and evolving touchpoints.
• English language skills.
