Senior Data Enginer | €70,000 - €80,000 + Benefits | Germany (100% Remote)




Are you ready to make an impact? As OPIA Associates is partnered with Germany's fastest growing scale-up for sustainable mobility solutions, who is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support their ongoing transformation!




Following a successful 2024, this organisation is undergoing rapid growth and expansion. You will be key in supporting the build-out of a scalable DWH platform on AWS.



Responsibilities
• Design and develop a highly scalable data platform on AWS, enhancing performance, flexibility, and reliability.
• Oversee and maintain the data architecture, including models, integrations, and schemas.
• Continuously monitor data infrastructure performance, address issues promptly, and keep data product users informed.
• Own both new and existing ELT processes, ensuring their monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization independently.


Qualifications
• You bring at least 3 years of professional experience as a data engineer or in a closely related role.
• You have hands-on expertise in data system architecture, (cloud-based) data warehouses (e.g. AWS Redshift, Snowflake), and ELT workflows.
• You possess strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with solid knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) and their services.
• Familiarity with transformation frameworks (e.g. dbt) and workflow orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow) is highly desirable.
• You are fluent in English and capable of explaining complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
