The Role: (Senior) R&D Engineer – Drilling
As one of our earliest hires, you will be instrumental in designing and developing groundbreaking drilling technology. Drawing on your experience, you’ll collaborate closely with engineers, geologists, and scientists to make ultra-deep drilling faster, more efficient, and cost-effective — creating impact from day one.


What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years experience in drilling engineering, ideally with ultra-deep boreholes (>5 km)
• Familiarity with drilling software (e.g., Landmark, WellCat, DrillWorks) is a plus
• Deep knowledge of drilling techniques and equipment; experience in purging system development is advantageous
• Proven ability to lead R&D projects from concept through delivery
• Degree in Petroleum, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong communication skills in English
• Willingness to work and live in the Munich area
