Chery Automobile is a leading Chinese automotive company with operations in over 80 countries. We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Engineering Center in Raunheim, near Frankfurt.

Job Description

As a Senior Engineer – Vehicle Drive Quality & Performance, you will support the development of our European vehicles locally and globally, working closely with teams in China and across the European market.

Responsibilities

Develop vehicle drive quality and performance to meet European customer requirements.
Define and implement EU-specific vehicle drive quality and performance targets.
Run detailed benchmarks of competing models and brands in Europe.
Collaborate closely with R&D centers in Wuhu & Shanghai and European market subsidiaries (Marketing, Sales, Quality) from technical and commercial perspectives.

Qualifications

Degree in Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering or a comparable field.
Significant (>3 years) experience in vehicle drive quality and performance (BEV, PHEV, ICE).
Ability to balance vehicle & system targets while meeting regulatory compliance and customer acceptance.
Strong knowledge of PT testing, application, and simulation tools.
Valid European driving licence and willingness to travel.
Proactive and self‑motivated with strong communication skills.
Fluent in English and comfortable working in an international environment.
Good computer skills (MS Office, etc.).
