Your responsibilities

• Delivery & Excellence: Collaborating with key stakeholders, representing the team’s engineering perspective on feasibility, cost‑effectiveness, scalability, and time‑to‑market aspects of new or existing services and products. Align roadmaps, break down new features, and maintain existing ones. Provide strong technical oversight and drive continuous improvement.
• People Leadership: Inspire, develop, recruit, and motivate a cross‑functional engineering team. Conduct regular 1:1s, set development plans, and foster a healthy feedback culture.
• Team Management: Collaborate with Product Management to oversee strategy, goals, and metrics. Own technical roadmap, incident management, and quality efforts. Coordinate resource planning.
• Manage growth: Navigate change and collaborate to discover innovative solutions with stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
• Strategic Leadership: Guide the strategic direction of the team’s engagements and align work with broader organizational goals.

Qualities we look for

• Proven Scale‑Up Experience : Scaling an engineering organization focused on machine learning or AI products through a high‑growth phase.
• Product and Research Acumen : Owned the delivery of a business‑critical, AI‑powered product and partnered with product managers and researchers.
• Deep Technical Credibility : Technical depth to guide senior engineers working on complex AI systems.
• Leadership, Not Just Management : Immediate, experienced leadership to navigate unique challenges of applied research and development.
• AI Domain Expertise : Demonstrable experience in NLP, ML, LLMs, or other major AI field.
• Excellent communication skills in English with empathy and a solutions‑oriented mindset.
