As we continue to scale our activities in Berlin, we are looking for a (Senior) Finance Manager (30 hours / weekly) to strengthen the foundation of our finance operations and support the continued growth of our global business. This role offers an exciting mix of operational oversight and coaching mid level finance managers, and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

As our Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accuracy and clarity across all our financial reporting and accounting processes.

• Be responsible for the month-end accounting process, reviewing inputs, running high-level checks, and delivering clean data to our external accountants.
• Handle international tax topics—such as withholding tax and billing nuances across different jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with other departments to align financial and operational data and resolve discrepancies.

• Review the work and processes of our two Finance Managers and offer timely support and feedback.
• Act as a sparring partner for more junior team members, helping them grow and improve efficiency through coaching and process improvements.
• Help shape the development of the finance team by promoting best practices and ensuring high-quality execution.

• Step in on senior-level tasks and one-off finance projects, ensuring continuity and excellence across the department.
• Lead larger cross-functional finance projects and help shape the next chapter of AVOW’s finance team development.
