Senior Financial Accountant Austria/Germany

Location: Salzburg (onsite) or remote within Austria / Southern Bavaria (with monthly travel to Salzburg)

We’re looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of statutory and management accounting for the Austrian entity and support operations across Austria and Germany. What you’ll do

Lead the preparation of annual statutory accounts (Austrian GAAP / UGB) and reporting under US GAAP (training can be provided)
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and reporting processes
Act as the key contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and local authorities
Ensure compliance with Austrian statutory requirements and support German accounting operations
Partner with cross-functional teams in Finance, R&D, Procurement, and Corporate HQ in the US
Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and contribute to strategic decision-making

What you bring

Strong background in Accounting (5–7+ years) with experience preparing statutory accounts and supporting audits/tax compliance
Austrian or German accounting qualification (or equivalent)
US GAAP knowledge strongly preferred (but can be learned on the job)
Experience in a global or manufacturing environment is a plus
A hands-on mindset, structured approach, and motivation to grow into a leadership role
