Front-End TV Engineer (React, OTT)
Location: Remote (Europe-based only)
Full-Time - Permanent
Salary: Negotiable, DOE



We are seeking a Front-End TV Engineer with strong experience in React development and a proven track record of building applications in the OTT (Over-The-Top) media space. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing next-generation TV experiences for millions of users across Smart TVs, set-top boxes, and streaming devices.




As part of a cross-functional and remote-friendly team, you will collaborate with UX designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver performant, visually engaging, and user-friendly applications tailored for TV platforms.



Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain front-end applications for Smart TVs and OTT platforms using React and related technologies
• Optimize UI for performance, memory usage, and smooth rendering on TV hardware
• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features and improvements
• Troubleshoot, test, and debug TV apps across various screen sizes and devices


Required Skills & Experience
• 3+ years of front-end development experience with React.js
• Proven hands-on experience delivering OTT or Smart TV applications (e.g., Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Android TV, Apple TV, Roku)
• Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and TV-specific UI/UX constraints
• Experience with TV remote navigation, app performance optimization, and asynchronous data handling
• Familiarity with media streaming standards (HLS, MPEG-DASH) and DRM
