Senior Full Stack Developer AI first (Node/Python/React)

Position: Senior Full Stack Developer for AI first company

Experience: 5+ years

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Location: Mannheim, Germany (Onsite)

Language Requirements: Proficient in both German and English

Relocation: Willingness to relocate to Mannheim required, onsite attendance expected

What You’ll Do

• Take end-to-end ownership of designing, building, and scaling robust full stack applications and data pipelines, prioritizing high standards and clean, maintainable code.
• Collaborate closely with founders and early engineers to make key technical decisions and rapidly turn ambitious ideas into impactful software.
• Play a hands-on role in developing both backend and frontend systems using Python, Node.js, and React, working in a modern cloud environment (primarily Azure).
• Drive the integration and usage of AI tools and services—architecting solutions that are “AI-first” and maximize the benefits of assisted intelligence throughout our products and workflows.
• Take responsibility for implementing, optimizing, and managing SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases for performance and scalability.
• Champion best practices for CI/CD, testing, security, and deployment in a cloud-native context.
• Tackle complex challenges in code, architecture, and infrastructure, setting a high bar for quality.
• Mentor less-experienced colleagues, and be a key part of building a collaborative, pragmatic engineering culture.
• Work in an environment that values direct communication, flexibility, and outcome over process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional experience delivering full stack software solutions.
• Advanced skills in both Python and Node.js, with a focus on maintainable, high-performance code.
• Real-world experience designing, deploying, and running scalable applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong expertise in both SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Deep understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven, production-ready software architecture.
• Track record of designing and consuming APIs, especially for integrating AI/ML or external automation services.
• Experience working with AI-assisted tools, building “AI-first” systems, or architecting solutions that natively incorporate machine learning and automation.
• Good frontend development skills with modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred).
• Solid grasp of security and automation best practices in cloud environments.
• Proactive, self-directed, and able to thrive in an evolving, fast-paced startup setting.
• Willingness and ability to mentor and collaborate closely with peers.
• Proficient and comfortable with both English and German in a technical context.
• Willingness to relocate to Mannheim area and work onsite is required.
