Responsibilities

• Administration of Debian Linux server systems and operation of highly available, distributed systems.
• Customizing complex HA solutions, storage systems, and virtualization technologies.
• Administration of Kubernetes and monitoring of servers and services.
• Automating system administration tasks and deployments using Ansible, GitLab pipelines, and Kubernetes.
• Supporting services for key customers, including database administration (primarily MySQL), leveraging automation and CI/CD pipelines for operational efficiency.
• Participating in a rotating on-call schedule (including nights/weekends) to ensure high availability and incident resolution within SLAs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience working with Linux systems, primarily Debian.
• Experience managing on-premises data center infrastructure.
• Proficiency with web servers like nginx and Apache.
• Experience with KVM, Proxmox, VMware, and MySQL administration, preferably with Percona Cluster.
• Familiarity with load balancing (haproxy, proxySQL) and high availability solutions (pacemaker, heartbeat, keepalived).
• Knowledge of DNS management with PowerDNS and scripting skills (Bash, Python, Perl).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Firewall and VPN solutions such as OpenVPN and PFSense.
• Monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios.
• Backup solutions and networking (Routing, VLANs, BGP).
