The Role:

As Senior Legal Counsel , you will be a key legal advisor, supporting project development teams on large-scale renewable energy projects, primarily solar and battery storage, with occasional involvement in wind projects. Your role will involve managing legal issues, drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Advise on land use, planning, and regulatory issues for renewable energy projects.
Draft and negotiate land use agreements, co-development agreements, service contracts, and project financing documents.
Implement compliance frameworks and ensure legal risks are managed effectively.
Support corporate governance activities, including board meetings and company secretarial matters.
Coordinate with external legal advisors for project due diligence and complex legal matters.

The Person:

Qualified under German law with at least 5 years of experience in a legal role, preferably within the renewable energy or infrastructure sector.
Fluent in English and German with excellent legal drafting skills.
Practical experience in land acquisition , regulatory law , and commercial contracts for renewable energy projects.
Strong business acumen with the ability to assess and communicate legal risks in a commercial context.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently within a fast-paced environment.
