Job Title: Senior AI Engineer / Senior ML Engineer

We're launching the Sparkassen-KIPilot—a cutting-edge AI assistant that boosts productivity by automating tasks, analyzing data, and generating customer communications for Sparkassen employees.


Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and development of advanced AI solutions in collaboration with our highly skilled AI team, driving innovation across both internal product initiatives and bespoke client projects.
• Own and architect end-to-end systems that blend DevOps principles, scalable Python backend services, and cutting-edge machine learning technologies to deliver robust AI-powered applications.
• Provide technical leadership in NLP and LLM development, while also contributing to broader domains such as computer vision and multimodal AI, helping shape our R&D roadmap.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, acting as a key liaison between AI, product, and engineering teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and delivery excellence.
• Design and implement pipelines for processing and leveraging large-scale datasets, optimizing for performance, scalability, and downstream ML/AI use cases.
• Champion innovation by proposing, prototyping, and iterating on new AI approaches, both independently and within the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.


What You Bring:
• Degree in (business) informatics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Experience as a software or AI engineer
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliability.
• Fluent in German and English.
