Senior Manager Global Procurement - DACH

We are seeking a Senior Manager Global Procurement – DACH to lead procurement efforts across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. As a key partner in the Global Procurement organization, you will partner with local stakeholders to implement sourcing strategies aligned with commercial, medical, regulatory and site objectives while ensuring market‑specific requirements are understood and addressed.

Typical Day Might Include

• Enabling global priorities at a local level through partnership with stakeholders and the Global Procurement organization.
• Understanding local market requirements and implementing global category strategies to drive consistency in sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
• Building processes and driving consistency and development of best practice across the organization.
• Reviewing local contracts for key spend areas and using data to monitor trends and patterns across country‑level spend while partnering with country stakeholders.
• Executing sourcing, negotiation and contracting activities in support of business needs.
• Driving value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from category management activities.

• You enjoy leading and supporting cross‑functional teams to drive results through effective sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
• You are comfortable providing expert insight and knowledge regarding rates, unit costs, and costing structures to enable efficient negotiations.
• You are used to looking at external data sources, market information, and supplier engagement to improve your organization’s knowledge of supply market dynamics.
• You bring knowledge of contracting tools, ERP systems and eRFx systems (Oracle, Zycus, GEP, Ariba, other).

To be considered, you must possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study and progressive experience in procurement, preferably including experience in Pharma/BioPharma. You have experience leading and supporting global category teams, processes, and suppliers across a breadth of categories and a track record in building influential relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to get results for your organization. You have experience in indirect procurement and are confident building influential relationships with stakeholders and suppliers. Proficiency in English and German is required.
