The Position

Drive the future of global security at Boehringer Ingelheim, leading projects and initiatives that enhance our security strategy worldwide. As a subject matter expert, you will develop, implement, and improve security services, including operations, policies, and standards to protect our people and assets. Based in our dynamic environment, you'll deliver security standards that add value to our business and influence stakeholders globally.

The position can be filled as Manager or Senior Manager Global Security.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Manage the protection of Boehringer’s people and assets.
• Serve as a global security expert and advisor.
• Drive innovation and participate in digitalization projects to foster an agile security culture.
• Implement security standards into processes with internal and external partners.
• Lead as a security topic expert, building a global network of security professionals.
• Collaborate with partners (HR, Legal, Supply Chain, IT, etc.) to standardize processes.
• Manage security incidents, support crisis management, and coordinate with partners to ensure preventive measures.

As Senior Manager, additional tasks include:

• Identify and develop proposals for optimizing security services and strategies.
• Share best practices and foster a community of security professionals across the organization.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in a security-related field, with conflict management skills and strong ethics.
• Experience in protecting employees, assets, and processes, with resilience and intercultural skills.
• Knowledge of Corporate Security, including supply chain security, site operations, and audits.
• Fluent in English and basic German; additional languages are a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office and negotiation skills.

For Senior Manager role, additionally:

• Proven experience in at least 2 security capabilities.
• Experience in instructing and coaching colleagues and external partners.
