Job Summary : We are seeking a Senior Microelectronics Engineer to join our Hardware Development team. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, development, testing, and optimization of microelectronic circuits and systems that power our advanced telecom measurement equipment. This role requires a hands-on engineer with strong expertise in microelectronics, embedded systems, and RF/telecom hardware integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop microelectronics circuits for telecom measurement equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, RF, and mechanical) to integrate designs into complete systems.
• Develop and test PCB layouts, FPGA/ASIC designs, and mixed-signal circuits for data acquisition, processing, and communication interfaces.
• Optimize power consumption, signal integrity, and thermal performance in compact hardware designs.
• Perform simulations, prototyping, and laboratory testing to ensure compliance with telecom and electronic industry standards.
• Support product industrialization, including component selection, cost optimization, and manufacturing readiness.
• Research and evaluate emerging microelectronics technologies relevant to telecom and measurement applications.
• Document designs, verification procedures, and technical reports.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in circuit design, PCB development, and FPGA/ASIC implementation.
• Hands-on experience with CAD tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence, Mentor Graphics) and FPGA/ASIC design environments.
• Experience with FPGAs/ASICs (VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog) and embedded microcontrollers.
• Familiarity with RF systems, telecom interfaces (e.g., LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi), and signal processing is a strong plus.
• Experience in laboratory testing, prototyping, and debugging electronic systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in cross-disciplinary teams.
• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken); German is a plus.
