Senior Mixed Signal IC Designer

My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analog Mixed Signal IC Designer to join their innovative team. This position is based in Bochum, where cutting‑edge application‑specific integrated circuits (ASICs) are developed to drive performance breakthroughs in electronic test and measurement products. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team to develop custom ASIC data converter solutions for GHz applications
• Design and implement core ADC and DAC structures, as well as streaming I/O data paths
• Contribute to the measurement and emulation of communication transceiver ASICs
• Work with CMOS and BiCMOS technologies to innovate next‑generation high‑performance mixed‑signal ASICs
• Apply your expertise to enhance the performance and cost‑effectiveness of test and measurement products, enabling the generation and characterisation of high‑speed signals such as RF communication and serial link waveforms
• Lead or co‑lead design projects, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional quality.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field with thesis work on mixed‑signal IC design (preferred), or an M.S. in Electrical Engineering with substantial experience in mixed‑signal IC design
• Extensive experience in designing high‑speed (> 5 GSa/s, 8+ bits) analog‑to‑digital converters (ADC) in advanced CMOS (28nm and smaller) technologies at both architectural and transistor levels
• Proven expertise in ADC chip turn‑on, testing, debugging, and performance documentation
• Proficiency in designing high‑speed analog and mixed‑signal circuits in advanced CMOS technologies at both schematic and layout levels
• Experience with mixed‑signal building blocks and integrated systems such as PLLs, DACs, serialisers, or wideband amplifiers
