Overview

Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

• Drive the enhancement of Nat Cat technical landscape
• Assess the materiality of natural perils scenarios in companies reinsurance portfolio, perform targeted quantitative analysis, and derive actionable business insights
• Steer the validation of Nat Cat vendors’ models
• Perform risk assessment, modelling, and technical pricing of reinsurance treaties with relevant Nat Cat exposure, in close cooperation with non-life underwriting teams
• Provide technical guidance and educational support to underwriters, actuaries, and other colleagues on Nat Cat topics
• Monitor and assess Nat Cat events with potential impact on the company

Qualifications Required

• University degree in climatology, geology, statistics, mathematics, or similar

Experience Required

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a Nat Cat modelling position
• Excellent understanding of reinsurance, as relates to Nat Cat risk. Underwriting and technical pricing experience as an advantage
• Fluency in English. French or German an advantage
• SQL, Python, or VBA skills are advantageous
