Job Description

Senior Principal Architect who can be based in Antwerp (Belgium), High Wycombe / Maidenhead (UK) or Berlin (Germany). This is a hybrid role.

As a Senior Principal Architect at Johnson & Johnson MedTech, you will lead architecting and designing global solutions primarily in the Sales and Marketing domains that provide flexibility for regional and Business Unit adaptation, using a Microsoft Dynamics 365 backbone. A key aspect will be ensuring seamless integration with other areas like marketing, service and supply chain to form an ecosystem that provides a connected customer experience. Solutions should meet business objectives while being secure, reliable, maintainable and scalable.

Collaboration is key; you will work closely with Product and Engineering Leadership and other architects to balance business needs with architectural practices, ensuring global capabilities can be effectively deployed and extended in the regions. You will also mentor teams, encourage innovation, continuous learning, and inclusion. An important part of your responsibilities includes ensuring solutions are maintainable and aligned with industry regulations. Staying informed about advancements in core technologies such as Dynamics 365 and emerging technologies will ensure that the solutions you develop are innovative, contributing to strategic growth and innovation of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the detailed architectural global solution designs primarily for Dynamics 365 Sales and Marketing Solutions and other technologies, considering global needs, balancing feasibility, scale, cost, complexity and timelines.
• Develop architectures that connect seamlessly with Marketing and other technologies for eDetailing, Campaign Management. Design and integrate global Configure, Price, Quote & Deal Analysis solutions to form a connected experience for the commercial organization.
• Collaborate with the product group owner to establish the scope and vision of core capabilities, providing expert advisory support during design and refinement, identifying where 3rd party packages or custom developments are needed.
• Be an authority for architectural practices and standards for core solutions, ensuring consistency and high quality across all capabilities.
• Assess and optimize core solutions for performance, reliability, scalability and user experience, addressing technical debt and driving continuous improvement.
• Provide continual guidance and technical leadership and mentoring to capability development teams and monitor solution health, identifying areas of technical debt.
• Partner with regional architects to provide guidance and support for deployment of core capabilities, ensuring alignment with global standards while addressing regional needs.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, collaborating with product leadership to incorporate innovative practices into core capability design.
• Build, align, prioritize and manage the capability architectural runway, backlog and risks.
• Collaborate with engineering, platform and product teams to align solution design with business objectives and value.
• Provide guidance to other architects and educate teams around incorporating security measures into every aspect of designs.
• Encourage innovation through continuous learning, mentoring team members, and driving personal development initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Required Experience And Skills

• 5 years of solution architecture experience with commercial SaaS platforms, with at least 2 years in the Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem.
• 10 years in IT, with experience designing and delivering complex solutions.
• 2 years working with Data and Integration landscapes.
• Extensive knowledge with Microsoft Dynamics at enterprise scale.
• Strong experience working with complex Sales & Marketing SaaS platforms.
• Experience working in regulated environments.
• Solid data and integration knowledge with the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
• Demonstrable experience leading and mentoring technical team members.
• Track record of understanding business needs and shaping requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Preferred

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Certifications.
• Experience with multi-region implementations.
• Experience with observability and application performance management.
