What's the role?

HERE Architecture team is embedded inside a Platform and Technology organization. The architecture group has a deep visibility and influence over how various software products are designed, implemented and maintained at HERE. Solution architecture brings customer-centricity to the group by working with strategic HERE customers worldwide to build solutions for their use cases leveraging the HERE location platform. The team's outputs impact customer success and HERE's competitiveness and success, with architecture work often in both customer and management spotlight while engaging with engineers on finer technical details.

About the role:

As a Senior/ Principal Architect for Automotive in HERE Architecture team, you will be responsible for:

• Designing robust architectures that realize strategic customer use cases with material impact on customer success and HERE's business.
• Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to understand problems, derive insights, design architecture, and articulate solutions to engineering, product, sales, and customers.
• Demonstrating leadership by guiding engineering teams to build implementations aligned with the architecture, addressing performance, scalability, security/privacy, and fault tolerance.
• Defining and evolving the process around how the architecture supports HERE business.
• Analyzing customer requirements from channels like RFQ, understanding customer needs, engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders, building a comprehensive solution architecture, and supporting the project lifecycle from nomination to delivery.

Who are you?

• 12+ years of experience delivering software products or systems in various roles.
• Passionate about helping customers succeed by enabling solutions that create maximum value.
• Subject Matter Expert in building SDV solutions for navigation and/or automated driving systems.
• Deep domain knowledge of Navigation and/or AD systems, ADAS, and connected cars: automotive positioning, vehicle sensor data, environmental model building.
• Experience with digital map products, crowd-sourced data products, or big data analysis is an advantage.
• Experience in automotive, Navigation systems, ADAS, automated driving, cloud services, automotive software, map data, Navigation Data Standard (NDS).
• Identify key landmarks and triggers for vision perception to create and update HD Maps.
• Drive KPIs for real-time map updates, data pipeline inputs, latency, and scalability.
• Experience with vehicle E/E architectures and the implications of connected vehicles and map delivery ecosystems.
• Familiarity with industry standards and related regulations.
• Deep prior experience in software engineering, building customer-facing products/systems and stakeholder management.
• Experience in the automotive industry with engagement models and RFx procedures with OEMs.
• Customer-centric, solution-oriented, and actionable approach to solving business problems.
• Ability to build robust software architecture while incorporating feedback from customers, PoCs, markets and peers.
• Detailed knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or GCP is an advantage.

The role can be based anywhere in Germany.
