(Senior) Process Engineer (m/w/d) Thermal Treatment

We are seeking a highly skilled (Senior) Process Engineer to join our team, responsible for end-to-end technical ownership of industrial thermal pre-treatment plants for black mass — in particular rotary kilns and off-gas treatment systems — from engineering to commissioning.

• You develop and optimize thermal treatment kilns, with a strong focus on metallurgical processes.
• You create and review technical specifications, track plant design milestones, and ensure clean, on-time execution.
• You secure compliance with legal requirements for waste treatment facilities and drive thermal, mechanical, and electrical process safety.
• You coordinate external partners and suppliers as well as internal stakeholders across all project phases.
• You support on-site commissioning and guide a smooth handover into stable operations.

Your Profile

• You hold a degree in metallurgy, ferrous metallurgy, process engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable field.
• You have solid expertise in thermal process engineering, especially kiln technology and off-gas treatment.
• You bring hands-on experience in plant engineering from design through site management to commissioning.
• You are familiar with legal requirements such as TA Luft, BImSchG, KrWG, and relevant norms and standards.
• You communicate confidently in German and English, both spoken and written.
