At 1KOMMA5°, we are building Europe’s leading energy software platform “Heartbeat AI”. We offer a one‑stop shop for selling, installing and optimizing photovoltaics, electricity storage, heat pumps and charging stations. Our solutions increase profitability for customers and help them decarbonise homes and mobility. We are looking for a product leader to strengthen our product team in Berlin, Hamburg or Munich.

Your mission

• Define Product Vision and Strategy: shape and deliver the global product vision for building our energy business; defining how we provide, manage and scale our energy offering across international markets. This includes full ownership of our dynamic tariffs, energy retail proposition, and service portfolio, ensuring a consistent, customer‑centric experience across all regions.
• Standardise and Scale Our Energy Proposition: develop and harmonise the technical set‑up, operational processes, and partner integrations that underpin our global energy business. Create scalable standards for tariff logic, billing, metering and market communication to ensure seamless operation and compliance across markets.
• Market Analysis and Expertise: evaluate and anticipate developments across international energy markets – including regulatory frameworks, trading mechanisms and pricing innovations – to inform product design and strategic decisions. Identify opportunities for differentiation and profitable growth.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: act as an internal and external expert on energy retail operations, collaborating closely with engineering, energy operations, trading and partner teams. Align technical and commercial stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of our energy proposition.
• Support Product Operations: define and monitor KPIs to track product performance, operational efficiency and profitability. Continuously identify areas for process improvement and standardisation to drive scalable growth across global markets.
• Drive Commercial Success: collaborate with commercial, marketing and sales teams to position our energy products effectively, ensuring they deliver measurable customer value and strengthen our overall market position.

Your profile

• Experience: 4+ years in product management within energy retail, trading or metering, ideally across multiple European markets.
• Built or scaled energy retail products or systems: proven track record with dynamic tariffs, billing, market communication processes or trading integrations.
• Regulatory & technical translation: demonstrated ability to convert regulatory, commercial and technical requirements into scalable and compliant energy propositions.
• Market Expertise: deep understanding of energy market structures, regulatory frameworks and market operations (e.g., communication standards, settlement processes, balancing).
• Flexibility business models: awareness of emerging models around flexibility, dynamic pricing and digital energy services.
• Technical & Operational Acumen: familiarity with energy market systems, metering infrastructure, energy data management and trading or billing platforms.
• Collaboration & Communication: excellent interpersonal skills, ability to align commercial, technical and regulatory stakeholders across diverse cultural and organisational contexts; strong relationship‑building with internal teams, market partners, utilities and DSOs.
• Analytical & Strategic Skills: strong analytical mindset to evaluate product performance, market economics and operational KPIs; strategic thinker with a practical approach to problem‑solving and execution.
• Adaptability: comfortable in fast‑paced environments with high strategic impact, proactive, hands‑on and motivated by building the global utility of the future.
• Languages: excellent written and spoken English and German.
