A leading pan-European developer of battery energy storage projects, with >1.5GW pipeline across Germany and the DACH region. Backed by major infrastructure investors, they are scaling fast and hiring remotely across Germany.



The Role

As Senior Project Engineer, you will lead technical design and engineering coordination for utility-scale storage projects across Germany. You’ll take ownership of electrical and civil design reviews, EPC/OEM interface, and ensure projects progress smoothly from development into construction.



Responsibilities
• Lead engineering scope for multiple 50–200MW BESS projects.
• Review EPC, OEM, and consultant designs for compliance.
• Support interconnection and permitting with technical expertise.
• Manage grid and TSO/DSO requirements (TenneT, 50Hertz, Amprion).
• Provide technical input into procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Support due diligence for financing and investor approval.


Requirements
• 6–10 years’ experience in renewables/BESS project engineering.
• Electrical or power systems background preferred.
• Experience liaising with TSOs/DSOs in Germany.
• Fluent English; German desirable.
