Senior Project Manager

Position: Freelance Senior Project ManagerLocation: Hamburg (Hybrid)Contract Type: Freelance / ContractDuration: 12 Months (likely extension)Rate: 100-120€/hour Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate all project phases: development, procurement, construction, and handover.Manage contractors, consultants, and suppliers, ensuring performance and compliance.Oversee project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.Support contract negotiation and administration (EPC, BoP, or O&M agreements).Ensure HSE, quality, and sustainability standards are upheld.Report regularly to senior stakeholders on project progress and risks.Coordinate with grid operators, regulators, and permitting authorities where needed. RequirementsMinimum 5 years’ project management experience in renewable energy or infrastructure.Strong understanding of EPC contracts, grid connection, and permitting processes.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Professional certification (PMP, Prince2, or IPMA) preferred.Fluent in English; German or other European language skills are an advantage.Available for freelance / contract work with flexibility for site visits when required.
