Responsible for project management of several strategically important projects within our company. Monitoring the entire project landscape of publicly funded technology development projects for sustainable aerospace and other associated projects
Strategic Alignment: Building partnerships with potential suppliers, research institutes and universities. Prioritizes projects based on corporate objectives and available resources
Resource Management: Plans and allocates budgets, personnel, and materials across projects to avoid bottlenecks
Monitoring and Reporting: Monitors the progress of all projects in the portfolio using KPIs
Reporting: Prepares regular reports for management and other stakeholders to provide information on the status of the overall portfolio
Leadership and Communication: Leads project teams and project managers to ensure they achieve their objectives
Stakeholder Management: Acts as the central interface between project teams and internal and external stakeholders. Leading the preparation of new National (e. g. LuFo) and EU (e. g. clean aviation, clean hydrogen) funding applications with internal stakeholders and external partners while following an overall “Storyline” to connect Airbus’ activities with the external funding bodies
Risk Management: Identifies cross-functional and cross-hierarchical risks that could impact the portfolio and initiates appropriate countermeasures.
The work task requires knowledge and skills, which are usually provided by a relevant, completed degree with a standard period of study of up to 4 years in the area of aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable courses of study or completed vocational training with a corresponding, particularly extensive, subject-specific additional qualification. The overall knowledge and experience required may have been acquired in other ways
