The Impact You-ll Make in this Role

As a Senior Project Manager - Facilities (m/w), based in our EMEA Engineering Department in Hilden, you will tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people globally. Your impact will include:

• Managing large, complex facilities and equipment investment projects at EMEA manufacturing plants, from scoping to handover.
• Overseeing project performance, deadlines, resources, costs, budgets, and expenditures.
• Leading cross-functional project teams with a high level of autonomy.
• Performing feasibility studies and front-end work.
• Communicating with internal and external stakeholders up to the executive level, including business partners and authorities.

Your Skills and Expertise

To succeed in this role, 3M seeks candidates who meet these minimum requirements:

• Degree in Engineering (Facilities or Mechanical Engineering).
• Hands-on experience leading capital projects in manufacturing process equipment and facilities/utilities.
• Strong knowledge in manufacturing, capital investment engineering, and project management.
• Familiarity with permitting processes, including emission permits (BImSch) and facilities permits.
• Fluency in German and English.

Additional preferred skills include:

• Formal project management certification, e.g., PMI.
• Proven project leadership and business acumen in agile project management.

Job specifics

• Location: Hilden, Germany, hybrid work model.
• Travel: Up to 20% within EMEA.
