The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Senior Project Manager - Facilities (m/w/*) at our EMEA Engineering Department in Hilden, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

1. Managing large, complex facilities and equipment investment projects at EMEA manufacturing plants, including all phases from scoping to handover.
2. Overseeing performance, deadlines, resources, costs, budgets, and expenditures of the projects.
3. Leading one or more cross-functional project teams with a high level of autonomy.
4. Performing feasibility studies and front-end work.
5. Communicating with internal and external stakeholders up to the executive level at 3M, business partners, and authorities.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:

• Successfully completed a degree in Engineering (Facilities Engineering or Mechanical Engineering).
• In-depth experience in hands-on capital project leadership in manufacturing process equipment and facility/utility fields.
• Strong knowledge and extensive experience in manufacturing, capital investment engineering, and project management.
• Wide knowledge of permitting processes, including emission permits (BImSch) and facilities permits.
• Fluency in German and English.

Additional knowledge/nice-to-have skills include:

• Formal project management qualification, e.g., PMI certification.
• Demonstrated strong project leadership and business acumen in agile project management.

Job specifics:

• Location: Hilden, Germany, hybrid
• Travel expectations: Up to 20% within EMEA
