(Senior) Project Manager Operations

(SENIOR) PROJECT MANAGER OPERATIONS – permanent contract, flexible on-site client work during the week, typically in our offices in Munich, Cologne or Hamburg on Fridays.

Your mission

• As a Project Manager, you drive change, deeply understand processes, and deliver sustainable improvements for our clients
• You lead and manage demanding consulting projects from concept to implementation, with a focus on Operational Excellence, especially in the manufacturing industry (e.g. machinery and plant engineering, automotive)
• You analyze value chains and business processes to identify efficiency potentials
• Based on your findings, you develop tailored improvement concepts using Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or similar methodologies
• You take an active role in building long-term client relationships and support business development efforts
• You lead project teams and collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders
• You are eager to look beyond your core responsibilities and contribute to topics in related areas – e.g. strategy, supply chain management, or procurement
• You help strengthen our profile as a leading consultancy in operations-related topics, particularly in key industries like automotive, industrial goods, and defence & aviation

Your profile

• A Master's degree from a reputable university or even better: an MBA or doctorate
• At least 6 years of professional or consulting experience with a management consultancy
• Sound experience in managing large, complex projects in the field of operations with management and project responsibility
• A deep understanding of operations processes from various companies and industries, complemented by experience in production footprint optimisation and digitalisation
• Industry expertise ideally in Automotive, Industrial Goods or Defence & Aviation
• You are fluent in German, English and perhaps another foreign language
