Senior Requirements Engineer (f/m/d)

In our team, you ensure the further development of our primary software solution for the financial settlement of energy and commodity trades. We process transaction data from the exchange, create and operate interfaces to our own and external systems via messaging (ESB) or web services and create reports for various stakeholders. You take a domain-driven approach and work closely with the specialist departments to understand their needs and develop efficient software solutions for them. You are involved in the entire lifecycle - from the idea and planning to implementation, test, and release. You work in an agile (SCRUM approach), growing team either in the office high above the rooftops of Leipzig or remotely from home.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• You have a successfully completed degree or an apprenticeship and have relevant work experience in handling IT requirements
• Ideally you bring along a certification from the agile context
• You are very well structured and able to describe complex requirements, e.g. with the help of UML
• You are very confident in using Jira and Confluence or other similar systems
• If you have experience with web applications and the Java programming language, this is a plus
• Ideally you have already worked in the financial sector or a regulated environment
• You have the willingness to learn and you are interested in emerging topics around agility & organizational transformation
• You own very strong communication skills as well as an open-minded and team-oriented attitude with a lot of empathy without shying away from conflicts
• You can communicate excellently in English and in German
